Nigerian health authorities have reported three hundred and seventy one (371) new Covid-19 infections across the country taking the total confirmed cases to one hundred and fifty eight thousand and forty two (158, 042).
Data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Friday night showed that nineteen states and the Federal Capital Territory recorded fresh cases.
Lagos recorded the highest figure with one hundred and one (101), Rivers-54, Anambra-31, Ebonyi-23, Imo-23, Kwara-22, Kano-20, Taraba-17, Akwa Ibom-16 and FCT-15. Abia and Kaduna recorded thirteen (13) cases each, Osun-5, Edo and Oyo-4 each, Kebbi and Ogun-3 each, Ekiti-2while Nasarawa and Zamfara recorded one (1) each.
The total number of successfully treated and discharged cases has also grown to one hundred and thirty seven thousand and twenty five (137, 025) with six hundred and ninety (690) cases discharged across the country the country on Friday.Three new Covid-19-related deaths were also recorded on Friday taking the total fatalities to one thousand, nine hundred and fifty four (1, 954).
