NIGERIAN AIR FORCE CONFIRMS SEVEN DEAD IN ABUJA PLANE CRASH

The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed seven persons dead in a military plane that crashed in Abuja on Sunday.

Air Marshal Ibikunle Daramola, the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, confirmed earlier report by Network TV on the crash which happened near the Abuja airport runway due to an engine failure.

Daramola said in a tweet on Sunday afternoon: “This is to confirm that a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft crashed while returning to the Abuja Airport after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. First responders are at the scene. Sadly, all 7 personnel on board died in the crash”.

He said the Chief of Air Staff has ordered an immediate investigation into the accident while commiserating with the families of the deceased.
