The Nigerian health authorities have reported five hundred and forty two (542) new cases of Covid-19 from twenty states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Latest data obtained from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday night showed that the country now has a total of one hundred and fifty two thousand, six hundred and sixteen (152, 616) confirmed cases of Covid-19.
The breakdown of the new statistics showed Lagos with ninety nine (99) cases, Kwara-91, Ebonyi-48, Ogun-44, Kaduna-42, Oyo-33 and Ondo-25. FCT recorded twenty four (24), Kebbi-23, Osun-20, Ekiti-17 Nasarawa-12, Imo-11 and Delta-10. Others are: Gombe-9, Kano-8, Katsina and Rivers-7 each, Edo-5, Plateau-4 and Bauchi-3.
Six hundred and eighty one (681) patients were discharged across the country on Monday. They included one hundred and ninety three (193) community recoveries from Lagos and one hundred and thirteen (113) from Kwara State. The total discharged cases is now one hundred and twenty nine thousand, three hundred (129, 300).
Twenty three (23) Covid-19 related deaths were also reported on Monday. The total fatalities from the pandemic in Nigeria is now one thousand, eight hundred and sixty two (1, 862).
