Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday visited his former ally and former National Deputy Chairman (South West) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos to commiserate with him on the death of his son, Dipo, who died last May 9,2018.
A statement from the former President’s mefia aide, Kehinde Akinyemi said Obasanjo led top aides and loyalists to the Ikoyi residence of the former Military Administrator of Ondo State and urged him to take solace in God over the demise of his son.
“We cannot query God, but to only take solace in what He has done to you. If this do not happened, who knows what next that will happen. I have not been around but it was in my mind to come over and commiserate with you and the family. May God grant the depose eternal rest,” Obasnjo said.
But, the visit turned emotional when a sister to Bode George, Alhaja Majolagbe in a vote of thanks declared that the rift between the two families was over with the visit.
According to the statement, Majolagbe said, “we are all shocked when this started. But, today, devil has been put to shame. The evil this morning has been condemned outside this house. It will never come to this two great Nigerians anymore.
“There has come back again, when my brother will find Ota his home. It is over, Allah take all thanks,” she said.
